Beautycounter fell in my lap. LOA

I am now 70 years young. When I say Beautycounter fell in my lap, I am speaking of how I noticed them as a business.

Circe Today

I am outside with my camera on many occasions and I have noticed that the skin on my face suffers from exposure to the elements of sun and wind. I had a strong desire to protect my skin but, my Wellness Doctor had indicated that sunscreens were “not all that great for you.” That was enough of a reason not to use them. He was educated and NEVER made statements like that unless there was cause.

I was helping his wife with a new newsletter when she told me she found this incredible product for skin. When I said, I don’t use stuff on my skin because I don’t like how it feels, she told me I would love this.

Her focus was not to sell me on it, but to share this thing she loved with me. Passion is so intriguing. She took the TINIEST dab of cream and put it on the back of my hand. Then said: “Smell it!”

The smell was subtle and citrus. I did like it. She then told me this same company has a sunscreen. LOA. (I had not told her that I wish there was a safe sunscreen I could use. But, when I think on something for 68 seconds, it shows up in my experience.)

My reaction to her talking about the sunscreen, was not ooo yeah, but, no thanks. Then she said it: “Even Tom checked it out and approves!” MY Wellness doctor approves? I wondered what was this company doing.

I never said anything about my piqued interest to her after that. I merely mused on my own.

More LOA.

I was with my mom at the doctor’s office for a routine follow up. She and I both create jewelry for sale. So, in an effort to pass the time and learn a little along the way, I picked up a copy of a fashion magazine called C. My interest was to “see what was current” in the world of fashion. I saw some great pieces of jewelry and noticed red was big in this issue. Then it fell in my lap; a small snippet about Gregg Renfrew of Beautycounter.

Gregg Renfrew, CEo of Beautycounter. Now my boss.

In this very short, very interesting bit piece, I saw who was behind the company of my friend’s products.

The next time I saw my friend, she told me she was going to become a consultant and she was asking for my help with the newsletter where she and her hubby, Dr. Polucki would announce it.

I knew she wanted me to attend her launch and bring a friend. That was when I asked, “Is it better for you if a join as a consultant under you, than to just make a purchase at the launch?”

Now, I am a consultant and willing to share what it means to be 70 years old and not look it!
