I am finishing it up now and will be editing it soon. The book will have many of my photographs to illustrate the stories I tell in the narrated style memoir.

I remember being asked if I would take you in. A friend’s daughter was moving and couldn’t have you in her new apartment.
“Her name is Maude”, She said. “I didn’t give her that name, her first owner named her that. You can change it if you want.” I didn’t. Maude was just fine by me. As it turns out, it suited you.
The daughter revealed to me that you had been at three homes so far and she actually felt badly about giving you up. She also revealed that you jumped off the balcony to the ground below and landed in the ivy to get outside. It wasn’t the first time and as I found out, and it wouldn’t be the last time you found ways to get outdoors.
The decision to take you was easy. You needed a home and I had one of those.
