I have been out and about with a friend and my cameras. So refreshing to look around and see small and colorful things in nature to photograph. The Painted Lady Butterfly was on the ground. It was just one of many in a butterfly tent. The colors and unique patterns on these are fun to shoot. We had to be very careful while walking. Then we saw flowers, cacti, rocks, and more. The Monarch butterfly is endangered and every time I go to Monterey I see those signs; ‘plant Milkweed’. I love the Monarch butterfly. It is a regal orange and black insect that gives me great joy when I see one. One of my Facebook friends said “Seeing a butterfly means joy, beauty, fragility.” I have to agree, those words are the feelings I recognize when I am in the presence of this delicate creature.
