Ingredients
- 1 cup of isopropyl alcohol (no lower than 70%)
- ½ cup of aloe vera gel (natural or store-bought)
- 15 drops of tea tree oil (or another antibacterial essential oil)
1. Pour the alcohol into a container. I used 91% from Rite-Aid. They happened to be restocking the shelf when I went shopping for this.
2. Measure and pour the aloe vera gel into the container. The Aloe is to soften the skin as alcohol can be harsh especially at high percentages.
3. Add the Tea Tree oil. This oil is naturally antibacterial and has a scent.
4. Use a whisk to blend the ingredients.
5. Pour the mix into your clean, sanitized containers.
Tip: if you have leftover hand sanitizer bottles that are partially full, fill them with your handmade mixture.
If you use a container with a lid to mix the ingredients, cover the container to use this for refills.
