Planned ahead and it turned out perfect…well almost
I planned an unusual birthday celebration for my best friend and fellow blogger. It was better than I expected.
I purchased tickets to the Van Gogh Immersive in Los Angeles at the old Amoeba Music building, now Lighthouse. I watched the promo videos and it looked amazing.
I asked a friend to watch over my mom who is 94 and he said yes. Everything was coming together and I was ready; as ready as I could be.
My friend mentioned it to her husband who joined us and we headed on down to the venue. Traffic was lighter than I expected and we got the perfect parking spot. As my friend calls it, we had great parking juju.
Right from the start the Van Gogh Immersion was amazing. A delight of art and music.
Take a look at the size of the art projected on the walls all around us.
I was so pleased. My friend’s birthday was a success!
…almost
We headed home and I was on the freeway, when my phone started making a very loud noise. I recognized it immediately. I had set an alarm for the parking meter, and I couldn’t dismiss it because I was driving. I handed the phone to my friend’s husband to dismiss the alarm, but, at that moment the alarm was not on the top screen… to be continued.
